Waveland - Roy McClure, 74, died Tuesday in Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville after a long illness. He was born April 5, 1895 in Montgomery County and spent most of his early life in farming. He was later employed at Allison's and then Alcoa. He retired in 1961. Mr. McClure was first married to Wanita Gooding, who preceded him in death in 1940. He was married in 1945 to Naomi Sutherland. Surviving are his wife; four children, Mrs. Charles Grimes of Crawfordsville; Mrs. W.A. Stewart of Coral Gables, Fl; Robert of Waveland and Dale of Hillsboro; a stepson, Robert Gooding of Waveland, a stepdaughter, Pauline Collings of Roachdale, 9 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
